The Castle Walls We Built

Here we stand together, silenced, yet unafraid
Havoc and frustration scar the rough terrain
Yet none dare to penetrate through the wall we've made
Sounds and screams reverberate but our ears refrain

Finally we mark completion, the looming task of feat
Yes together composing carefully, our castle stone by stone
We started long ago_ and I regain hope every time we meet
But now, fear not, we have completed a place to call home

So perfect it was _ our own haven from the cold
But now I'm being thrown back to the retched outer ground
Still though standing above us our walls aren't crumbling or filled with mold
Why can't we return to the castle? Why is the door unfound?

A battle broke out amoungst in continuim
And on and on I go still fighting alone
I need you to come with me, find the door and take us in
We have to win this battle below my castle home

Remember Remember the castle walls still stand
Once we win the fight, we can return
We'll walk up the steps again hand in hand
And together we'll stay forever, a neverending sojourn



It may be dark, cold, and unfair
But our castle walls are still there
